Third Space Israel Tour 2023
Long in the planning, we finally made it to Israel in January 2023. Sixteen of us traveled to the land of Jesus' birth, life, death, burial and resurrection. From Jan. 7 to 15 we spent time in Israel and Jan. 15-18 in Jordan for an optional extension to Petra. This was my second time in Israel and it still amazes me. If you are interested in going, I'm planning another trip in about five years. Save the date!
Although there were some hiccups like my catching Covid two days prior to departure, I was able to join the group after three days and help host the tour for two-thirds of the time. It was still a wonderful experience. God provided good weather even during rainy season, no crowds and several excellent tour guides. Our small group bonded in a very special way as well. I took over 1000 photos and videos so stay tuned here for more to come. It was indeed the trip of a lifetime.
2021 Past Events Third Space Hebrew בראשית ברא אלהים
Introductory Hebrew Class Last March-May, we held our first Intro Hebrew Class with five students and two tutors. It was such a blessing to see believers so hungry to grow deeper into God's Word in the original languages. We all learned a lot from each other. In ten weeks over Zoom, students from Princeton to New York learned the Hebrew alphabet and vowel system and could even read and write Hebrew words and short passages of scripture (no grammar). We hope to do this again each year; stay tuned for more Third Space Hebrew.
2020 Past Events Film Screenings in July and December
Our private film screenings of Far East Deep South were a great success sharing this documentary with over 250 viewers. Our Q&A session in December had about 40 participants asking great questions. Watch the first five minutes of our Q&A above where Baldwin and Larissa share their recent accolades and latest late breaking news.
Bible and the Ballot Book Club
A small group of friends and Milton read through this book last fall to learn about "using Scripture in making political decisions." This is one of the best books on the topic working from Scripture to broad political topics of the day. Takes a mildly progressive stance on issues but well-reasoned from a careful and balanced approach to the Bible.
